Freedom for Dignity

Luke 18:15-17

People were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them; and when the disciples saw it, they sternly ordered them not to do it. But Jesus called for them and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.’

Reflection Question:

Children. Women.  Immigrants. Who do you think Jesus would shun?  *

How will you live your day accordingly?

God of Life, you are God of all.  Every person.  Every creature that flys, or crawls, or swims, or walks, or digs below the earth.  Every drop of rain and breath of air.  Every organism.  Every experience.  You are the God of all.  And in giving life to all, you give dignity to all.  Open our eyes to see the world around us with your vision.  Amen

We have all been thrown down so low that nobody thought we'd ever get up again; but we have been long enough trodden now; we will come up again, and now I am here.”
