Hello TTRA Members,

We are exited to announce that the 2019 Marketing Outlook Forum will take place in Bethesda Hyatt Regency, Washington DC, from October 7 to 9.

Alongside the return of favorites including the economic and consumer outlook and the executive roundtable, this year we will bring to you sectoral and market updates focusing on accommodation, attractions, leisure, international inbound, population demographics, student travel, heritage, and LGTBQ industries. The MOF Sentiment Index will be taken throughout the conference and will give attendees the opportunity to interact and to help create the MOF Outlook for 2020. Also new will be sessions focusing on the future for sales and marketing, labor market challenges, and the outlook for women professionals in our industry. 

Alongside these new topics, delegates will find even more opportunities to provide feedback and interact this year through an Ask the Experts session and the Outlook Roundtables. As well as opportunities to network with peers within industry, we will invite you to join us in a game of Jeopardy which will add to the informal and fun aspect of MOF. 

If you need accurate and up to the minute information, delivered by industry experts, to assist you in your business planning and decision making for the year ahead, MOF is a must conference for you. David Reichbach, Director of Analytics & Data Security at Destination Analysts.
David Reichbach is a highly regarded information privacy attorney, who oversees the analysis, retention, and security of data collected in Destination Analysts’ diverse research programs. With his BS in Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley and a passion for technology, David brings his specialization and skills to Destination Analysts’ quantitative studies with extensive experience in data segmentation and analysis. With his JD from the University of San Francisco, David is also highly valued by Destination Analysts’ clients for his leadership in qualitative research, including focus group moderation and user experience research. David is a frequent speaker on technology’s role in tourism insights at travel industry events.

Who Is It For?
The Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA) DMO Travel and Tourism Research 100 course is for both experienced destination researchers and those early in their destination research careers, as well as general managers with research responsibilities. This course will explore the fundamentals of research design, conducting or contracting research to support all the planning, marketing, advocacy, and management decisions for a typical Destination Management or Marketing Organization (DMO).

The 2020 International Conference will be held June 16 to 18, 2020 at the Victoria Conference Centre in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. 
Over the course of the conference, we will develop a 20/20 perfect vision of the future tourism research agenda – looking forward at major tourism research needs and looking back at 50 years of accomplishments in the promoting the use of research in travel marketing and planning. Our conference will look at the new models and paradigms for economics and tourism and the research needed to empower tourism decision-makers. Do not miss out on this opportunity to contribute to a global association and international conference that has been bringing together researchers from agencies, destinations, the industry and academia since its inception in 1970.
