Dear Member of the New Jersey State Assembly:

On Monday, November 16, the Assembly Environment and Solid Waste Committee is scheduled to hear testimony on ACR-249, the Assembly companion to SCR-180, which passed in the Senate on October 22. We ask that you watch this six minute video prepared by our Policy Director, Elliott Ruga.

As we are sure you are aware, a Concurrent Resolution to void an agency's rule is a rarely used action by the Legislature and a very serious one. We believe this video, which was developed based on testimony presented by DEP before the Senate Environment Committee, at which Mr. Ruga was among a number of people who testified, speaks for itself -- powerfully. Here's the link to the video:

ACR-249/SCR-180 determines that DEP's proposal to revise the Flood Hazard Area Control Act Rules, Coastal Zone Management Rules, and Stormwater Management Rules, is inconsistent with legislative intent.

Thank you for your time.
