Project Spotlight

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center - Women's Imaging Center, Mattoon, Illinois

Sarah Bush Lincoln's newly opened Women's Imaging Center is a "beautiful and spacious area offering all the amenities women would want while having a mammogram," states  center staff.

Stevens Advantage casework 1200 series was used throughout the offices and exam rooms.  Our millwork team built dressing room benches, custom registration desk and laminate wall panels.  The end result is a serene polish to a clinical setting.

The project architect was BSA Lifestructures with McCarthy Building Companies serving as construction managers.

LEED Credits for Casework
Join the Green Team

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is one of the most widely recognized green building standards programs in the world.  Launched in 2000, LEED provides a framework that project teams can apply to create healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement.

The LEED Rating System was created to transform the built environment to sustainability by providing the building industry with consistent, credible standards for what constitutes a green building. LEED certification is becoming increasingly important across an array of industries and building projects.

Healthcare facilities continue to achieve LEED certification at a growing rate. Projects are motivated by a number of factors including risk management, employee retainment, keeping staff and patients healthier, and knowing that there's often a short payback to the bottom line of design/construction costs, Hannah Chenoweth in "What is the State of LEED for Healthcare".

In light of this, Stevens Advantage has  contribute to projects working to achieve LEED credits?  We have several initiatives that can contribute to credits.  Employ the Stevens Advantage to create green and sustainable projects.

Expansion to Increase Capacity

An expansion on the North end of Stevens' Teutopolis facility broke ground in late October.

The much anticipated addition will increase the manufacturing footprint by nearly 50,000 sq ft, with an estimated Spring 2019 completion.  The space will house a new assembly line, increasing our production capacity.  This is the second expansion project in 2018, the first being the purchase of the 200,000 sq ft Stevens Avenue Facility in nearby Effingham, Illinois.  Stevens is actively preparing and planning for growth, with an eye to better serving our customers.

Watch for more updates as construction gets underway!
