Walk and Potluck Picnic at Hacklebarney State Park
Join us November 10th for a casual ramble along Black River in Hacklebarney State Park. This park is a peaceful enclave with beautiful river views and a perfect place to take in the late fall colors. Our itinerary will be just under 4 miles on easy gravel paths along the river with minimal climbing, followed by a potluck lunch at the picnic area by the trailhead/ parking lot.

Please plan on bringing food and something to drink for yourself and something to share if you wish.

When: November 10th at 10AM
followed by a picnic at 12PM

Where: Hacklebarney State Park Parking Lot.  119 Hacklebarney Rd, Long Valley, NJ 07853

Highlands Hikers is an informal group lead by the NJ Highlands Coalition of people who love the New Jersey Highlands and the splendid opportunity it offers to get outside and experience nature. Hikes will be scheduled on a rolling basis at different locations both well known and somewhat secret. We also anticipate inviting experts in ecology and local history to guide some of the walks to add to the experience of the Highlands.
