Wayfaring Strangers House Concert (Sunday)
3 Moon House Concerts and The Guitar Sanctuary present a special limited seating house concert event at The Sanctuary Music & Events Center (6633 Virginia in Adriatica. Performing will be Maylee Thomas-fuller, George Fuller, Jon Christopher Davis, Grady Yates, and Will and Crystal Yates. Show starts at 4:30 p.m., doors open at 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. VIP tables with seating for four, $150. 
At the McKinney Performing Arts Center, 111 N. Tennessee. 

McKinney Repertory Theatre presents it's annual melodrama, this year "Bad Medicine.....or Good to the Last Drop." It's a popcorn throwin' fun time in this old-fashioned melodrama complete with a heroine, hero, villain and a cast of zany townfolk! Suitable for all ages. Friday-Saturday, 8 p.m.; Sunday, 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available online.
The Miniature Book Society is hosting a conclave for its members this week and on the last day of the conference, they group is hosting a Miniature Book Fair. The public is welcome to attend. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Throckmorton Ballroom at the Sheraton McKinney Hotel & Conference Center, 1900 Gateway.


Butterfly Talk: Butterflies 101 (Saturday) Learn about the butterflies of our area, how to identify them, and the role they play in nature. This program will include a visit to the 
butterfly garden to see them in various stages of their development. 10-11 
a.m. May not be suitable for children younger than 10 years. Included in 
general admission and free for Heard Museum members. No preregistration required. 

Zip Line Day (Saturday) Soar through the treetops of the Heard Wildlife Sanctuary as you travel down the Ropes Course's zip line! Purchase one ticket for each time you would like to go down the zip line. $12 per person. For ages 10+; see ropes course program information page for information on size requirements. Preregistration required.
Design-a-Dino Coloring Contest (Last weekend! Thru Aug. 5) The Heard prepares for the Dinosaurs Live! exhibit by inviting children ages 12 and under to submit their own original coloring designs for a chance to have their artwork replicated through a custom paint job on one of this year’s exhibit dinosaurs—the Stegosaurus. Free.
