Many mainland garden centers are completely out of plants at this time of year - but not Bartlett's!  
Summer Perennials are looking really great! It's the perfect time to plant Bee Balm, Shasta Daisies, and Echinacea!
And if you like Oriental Lilies as cut flowers, you will LOVE them in your gardens! Pots are full and ready to start blooming!

Guess the Corn Date!
How good is your memory from year to year? Our delicious non-GMO corn is growing beautifully in the field and we will harvest as soon as it's ripe! Can you guess the correct date for the first harvest? Stop by the farmhand stand and make your guess.  We will choose a random winner from all the correct answers, and that person will win a dozen ears of corn and a gift basket!  
Have you taken a look at our cheese selection lately? Beside the usual choices, Leah has brought in an excellent selection of both European and regional cheeses.  You will definitely want to try the LaTur from Italy, and these two gorgeous cheeses from our neighboring island!

Runny and oozing around the perimeter with a moist and cakey interior. Earthy full flavor with a lingering tang. Made with cow, sheep and goat's milk.
The delicate yet pungent paste of this washed-rind cheese has a beautiful, thick, soft yielding texture. Toasty and nutty with hints of tropical fruit and sour cream: when ripe this cheese has a slightly salty and savory flavor. Its delectable texture melts on your tongue. 
A bright, grassy cheese that smells of freshly tilled earth and has a creamy layer topping its dense cake like center. Eidolon is young, bloomy rind cheese made in a classic French style with delicate mold growth on the surface and a center that is rich and milky.

Enjoy an evening of music, food and libations at Bartlett’s Farm’s beautiful garden center, and help Mentoring Youth Nantucket continue to serve island children through its four mentoring and tutoring programs. Join in the silent auction and walk away with a one-of-a-kind planter created by a Nantucket landscaper, a necklace from an island jeweler, or a gift certificate to your favorite restaurant.

This year's event is in honor of the memory of Sally Roberts. 
Sally was a great friend to MYNantucket and to the children of Nantucket.  A physical education teacher in the Nantucket's Public Schools for 34 years, ran and was the backbone of the Breakfast Buddies Program. She knew and clearly cared about each child and it was evident to anyone present that the children loved her in return.
