Pick Your Own Strawberries
8-6 every day til they're gone...
strawberry pickers
We estimate the picking will still be very good for at least 7-10 days.
Truly fresh strawberries are only around once a year.
Now's the time to come out and pick!
To freeze strawberries for use later on, simply rinse them, remove the hulls and place them in a single layer on a cookie sheet (on parchment paper or plastic wrap) in the freezer. When they're frozen, remove them to a freezer bag and store them in the freezer. They make excellent frozen drinks when you're pining for a tropical vacation in the winter time!
Hummock Pond Bike Path Fundraiser
Friends of the bike path logo 167 logo cicso logo
We all know how important the Hummock Pond Bike Path is to this end of the island. Whether it's surfers and families headed to Cisco, or visitors to the Brewery, to 167 Seafood, and to the farm, whether walking or biking, this bike path will serve to make travel safer for everyone. We are happy to help the fundraising process by serving a special dinner in our garden center.

In cooperation with the Nantucket Community Foundation, the Friends of the Hummock Pond Road Bike Path, and donations from 167 Seafood and Cisco Brewers, we offer a delicious summer supper made with local fish, local vegetables and local libations for a great local cause.

The summer squash, zucchini and patty pans make an excellent side dish for any meal, and if you like a good steak, try this very simple, delicious steak marinade.
1/4 cup of each olive oil, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped or pressed
2 tsp. Mustard
2 tbsp. Horseradish
Combine all ingredients in a zip top bag. And steak and marinate in the fridge for a least a couple hours, preferably overnight.

From the Fields
Unlike previous years, our farm-grown produce is only available from the farm - either from the market on Bartlett Farm Road, from our traditional produce truck on Main Street (from now through Columbus Day), from the produce truck in 'Sconset, at the Sustainable Nantucket Farmer's and Artisans Market, and at select, locally-minded restaurants across the island.
