Co-sponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife, this annual family-friendly event provides, for many kids, their first experience fishing. Participants need to bring their own pole and bait. Free hot dog roast, prizes for biggest fish, smallest fish and casting will take place throughout the morning. Admission is those older than 16 who also must have a Texas freshwater fishing license. Zink: the Myth, the Legend, the Zebra (Friday-Sunday)
This MRT Young Actors Guild production follows the Zenzational Z'Bras as they help leukemia patient Becky Zaslow overcome her fears and learn about the meaning of true courage. On stage in the Courtroom Theater. General admission is $12; discounts for students and children ages 3 and up. 7:30-8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday; 2:30-3:30 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday.

(Open thru Feb. 21) Bid a friendly farewell to the 46-foot T-Rex and eight of his life-size animatronic dinosaur friends along the Heard Museum nature trails. Included in admission to the museum. (If the temperature is 45 degree or colder, the dinos cannot be turned on for sound and movements.) 

Guided Trail Walk (Saturday)
Experience the ecology, geology, flora and fauna of the Heard Sanctuary. Led by our trained guides, your group will spend 45-60 minutes hiking the unique landscape making up the sanctuary grounds. Included with general admission. 10 a.m.-noon.
