I am truly amazed by all of the folks chiming in with their excitement that 2020 is over and the arrival of 2021, as though changing a calendar page will change what comes next. When in doubt, blame 2020. I hope you are not expecting the change in the calendar to be your solution. I’m glad the times are in God’s hands, not my watch nor the calendar. His plans are perfect. His promise is certain. Even as we face uncertain times, I’m so grateful for HIS faithfulness and HIS love. We can always trust Him.

My prayer for 2021 is not so much to "be blessed," as to "be a blessing." It is a wonderful thing to have God answer your prayer, it is more wonderful to be the answer to someone else's prayer. You have answered the prayers of addicts, alcoholics, prostitutes, victims of human trafficking and sexual slavery through your partnership 2020. We are so grateful for your support. We join our faith together, confident in God's favor, even facing tremendous uncertainty,

May the grace of the Lord be upon you mightily.
M
ay His hand bless you, as His face shines upon you.
May the Lord our God bless you & add abundance to your life.

You are strategic partners as we continue to trust God to transform lives.
God is faithful to reward you. May HE strengthen you and add to your anointing as we continue reaching THE WORLD together!

GREETINGS from the entire GILLOTT family

In a time of questions, a season of uncertainty, like many of you, things didn’t work out as we had hoped this Christmas. Recovering from coronavirus, Cathy and I spent our holiday in quarantine, hence no huge GILLOTT PHOTO from our family celebration this year. We had a COZY COVID ZOOM kind of Christmas, knowing that HIS LOVE is the final word.

In 2020, we looked around us and when circumstances didn’t seem to work out, we were reminded that God is always enough. ~~ ~~

AROUND THE WORLD : "SILENT NIGHT 2020"

Come around the world with us for
our 2020 installment of SILENT NIGHT. Celebrating a Christmas like no other- recovering from COVID 19, in quarantine, missing family & friends. HIS PRESENCE
is so precious & always available.
If you have 5 minutes, look back with us on an amazing year filled with the unique blessing of HIS promise through it all.

A CENTURY TURNS 21
Bern For us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.
1 Corinthians 8:6

As the century turns 21 (in America, 21 is drinking age and considered the age of maturity), it’s hard to know whether 2021 will be a year of drunkenness or actual maturity. There are many implications to the number 21 in biblical numerology but one consistent theme is sin and judgment.

The number 21 symbolizes the great wickedness of rebellion and sin. After the children of Israel left Egyptian bondage, they had 21 major rebellious events crossing the wilderness. On the 21st in the month of Nissan, God carried out his final judgment against Egypt drowning Pharaoh and his entire army in the Red Sea as they pursued God's people to enslave them again.

In 2 Timothy 3, the apostle Paul shares 21 sins found in America in 2020. He begins the chapter with a warning and then starts his list with the words "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men ....

Obadiah, one of the shortest books in the Bible, has only one chapter with 21 verses and speaks of Judgment on "Edom." Still GOD leaves us with a promise:
But on Mount Zion there will be those who escape, And it will be holy. And the house of Jacob will possess their possessions.
Obadiah 1:17

On the other hand, the New Testament has 21 Epistles. The book of Hebrews contains references to 21 Old Testament books. The word frankincense occurs 21 times in Scripture as well as the phrase, "the Father."

As the century turns 21, we are not just moving into a new year but a new era. Whether coming out of Covid or into another global calamity, one thing remains consistent. God's love and God's concern. I put no confidence in the turning of the calendar page nor the striking of midnight on my watch. The times are in God's hands.

Never give the calendar credit for something that only a decision can do. Change comes not because the flipping of a calendar page, but decisions ... the courage to make a commitment and God's grace to make the change. As we enter into 2021, we need to make the commitment to step into God's purposes, no matter what we may face.

For us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things -- and we exist for Him;

You may recall in my 2020 New Years E-votion, as many promised "2020, a year of blessing," I shared that I felt the Holy Spirit was saying that 2020 would be a year of "sifting." Here is what I wrote:

As I we look at this new decade, 2020 consider this parable. A new decade will be a time of separation of the wise and foolish. In 2020, God is looking to see if His people are more interested in "the party" or the "preparation." We are all moving toward the inevitable crescendo of history for the marriage supper of the Lamb.
I love the "Parable of the 10 Virgins."

Five had oil, burned brightly and were alert for the Lord's coming--
five others were excited about the "Party" but did not take time to prepare.

God calls them foolish.

Five were busy getting ready, five had no idea they were were not ready.
Five prepared, while five pretended.

God search my heart to reveal if I am preparing or pretending. While there may be success in making a resolution (even the Apostle Paul says, "this one thing I do," in Philipians 2), the real victory is in the daily choices that we make.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Does that sound like your 2020? God pour in the oil!
May we burn brightly in this world for YOU!
