This year we will again collect gift boxes for students at our partner elementary schools.  We will deliver the boxes to the schools during the week of December 12.  Please bring your completed boxes to the church office prior to that date.  Lists of suggested items are located throughout our buildings.

“Bethlehem Morning.”
Bethlehem.  We merely say the name and our minds are flooded with images.  We may never have been there, but it’s our backdrop for the story of Christmas.  “Bethlehem Morning” tells the miraculous story of Christmas through traditional carols and Christmas favorites.

Tips for Dementia Caregiving
during the Holidays:

Preventing Falls in an Elderly Persons home:

Caregivers can do several things to make the home safer:

1. Install grab bars in shower or bath.

2.  Put no stick tape on tub floor.

3.  Use a stool riser on the toilet.

4.  Make sure stairs are sturdy with strong hand railings
6.  Remove loose rugs.

7.  Avoid clutter.

8.  Do not have electrical cords trailing across the floor.

9.  Make sure all rooms have adequate lighting.

Christmas Poinsettias are available for $10.00 each. You can request them “in honor of” or “in memory of” your friends and loved ones. Please fill out a Christmas Poinsettias form and turn it in to Cami Simmons. Deadline is 12-18-2016. Thank you.

Copies of the revised Personnel Policies Handbook are available on the info counter in the foyer.  The vote to adopt the Handbook will be taken at the regular business meeting on Wednesday, December 14.

Christmas Day - Sunday Information below

Preschool, children & youth will NOT meet for Sunday School (Bible Study) on  Christmas morning. 

This will allow teachers to focus on family rather than class preparation during the days leading up to Christmas.

The later start (10:30)  should allow for church families and children’s workers to observe their family traditions and then still be able to attend morning worship at the regular 10:30 time.

Adult classes may meet if they choose to do so.

Child care will NOT be available until 10:15 on Christmas morning.

There will be no afternoon or evening activities on Christmas day.
