101 Reasons to
Adopt a Golden!
reason #58
You can't get a cuter Sledding partner than a Golden!"

Angus is a new flat coat mix who is heartworm positive and needs a home willing to see him through his heartworm treatment. Due to his age and activity level, he would be best in a home without other dogs as he goes through the treatment. He just came to GRRAND as a stray from a shelter and is a beautiful dog. He is currently at the kennel.

Kimber is a labradoodle who has been at the kennel way too long. She has a prospective family seeing her this weekend, but if she doesn’t go, she really needs a home. She is crate trained and house trained and full of puppy energy, but does get over a fence so would need either a 6’ privacy fence or an invisibly fenced yard.

Corinne has been in foster care WAY too long and they are begging for a home for her. She is house trained, good with other dogs and full of puppy energy. Needs a family willing to exercise her and provide some training. She has also been in a home with children.

Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Serves 120 mini bones
Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce or mashed banana
1/4 cup vegetable, chicken or beef stock
bone shaped cookie cutter
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine flour, peanut butter and apple sauce in a large mixing bowl. Add stock and stir until well-combined. The dough will be thick. Once combined use your hands to press the dough into a ball. Place dough ball on a flat service (with a sprinkle of flour if needed) and roll out evenly with a rolling pin. Dough should be about ¼ inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into desired shape and place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown. Store in an airtight container.
