Although it’s been a long winter of Continuing Resolutions (CRs), it appears that Congress is finally wrapping up work on a major FY2018 Omnibus Appropriations bill for the balance of the federal fiscal year. We remain hopeful that the HUD portion will offer additional authority for RAD.
As of this writing, the bill language remains on track for posting later this evening. The House would then vote on it on Thursday, and the Senate on Friday prior to the expiration of the latest temporary funding measure. As many of us at the Collaborative will be joining the CLPHA Spring Meeting on Thursday and Friday, we expect to share early next week how the omnibus, once passed, might boost RAD. Also, stay tuned for the scheduling of a web-call breaking down the bill along with the latest RAD developments out of the Recap Office and HUD
