It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and sing praises unto thy name oh most high; to declare your lovingness in the morning and Your faithfulness at night. Ps 92:1-2.

WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR? GIVE THE LORD A SHOUT !

While we know that miracles are the work of God, we recognize the partnership of your prayers and intercession. I am so thankful for all of you that have prayed for us, supported us, and stood with us in 2016. I thank God for our family and partners that have taken us through this powerful year of ministry.

Thanksgiving is not just a government holiday to get time off of work, watch football and eat turkey. It is the will of God. Thanking God for you is more than a formality, it is an honor. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

GOD IS AT WORK IN THE PHILIPPINES

In his Presidential campaign, President Rodrigo Duterte committed to a "war on drugs." He promised to "kill 100,000 criminals in his first 6 months in office & dump so many bodies in Manila Bay that the "fish will grow fat.” This has led to a nationwide explosion of extra-judicial killings with a death toll that some place at over 4,000. CNN VIDEO

In the face of what many have called a humanitarian crisis, over 2 million have been arrested or turned themselves in as a result of this nation's War on Drugs. While I was in the Philippines, the campaign expanded from the slums and barangays that were the original focus of the campaign.

CLICK VIDEO Vigilante Killings

The president has now targeted over 1,000 mayors, judges and political leaders who are accused of complicity in drug trafficking. The police insist that all of the fatalities are the result of violent criminals resisting arrest, while other families say their children were murdered by vigilante death squads who collect a bounty as small as $300 a head. They say some were executed for petty theft on unsubstantiated suspicion of drug abuse

The word that God gave me was Psalm 97:1. The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice; Let the many islands be glad.

Without condemning nor endorsing the violent rampage of this "war on drugs," the result is that, with literally millions turning themselves in, there is an unprecedented opportunity to step up to minister to these people who are now freely admitting their struggle with substance abuse. Teen Challenge and International Prison Fellowship have been invited to help Philippine leaders to develop a strategy. We have real answers for those trapped in the clutches of addiction to meth amphetamine, (highest use worldwide of ice or shabu) What we offer goes far beyond rehabilitation to transformation through Jesus Christ

At the invitation of Philippine leaders and the request of James Lowans, GTC Asia/Pacific Director, I was privileged to attend Palawan FOUR. The Leadership Prayer Summit was hosted by four main conveners: Intercessors for the Philippines (IFP), Philippines for Jesus Movement (PJM), Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC), and NFS Ministries

Top leaders, attorneys, corporate executives, bishops and pastors that represented the entire spectrum of the Body of Christ, formed an amazing tapestry of the culture of the Philippines. The times of praise and worship we rich with the prophetic promise and presence of God and the teaching was powerful and prophetic. Wonderful to sense what God is doing with the Chinese leaders.

I was honored not only to minister the word, but to be invited to join their covenant of unity and love, sealed with communion and a ring ceremony for all 96 participants. Would you join me in praying that God will marry our hearts to the needs of the prisoners in the Philippines! (Matt 25:37-40)

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Bern

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays. Not only because it signals a countdown to the celebration of the birth of Jesus at Christmas, but because it calls to mind two of the most powerful weapons in our arsenal of faith—rejoicing and giving thanks. Thanksgiving, or joyful gratitude is important because it turns my focus from self to God.

In the book of Luke chapter 15, we see an amazing snapshot of thanksgiving and “the lost.” Each story, from the lost sheep, to the lost coin to the lost son, ends in celebration. Teen Challenge, a ministry to the lost, is also a ministry of Thanksgiving and Celebration!

Luke 15:5 describes the rejoicing when the lost sheep is found. In verse 10, Luke reminds us, "I tell you there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." In verse 22, Luke tells of the return of the prodigal son and what a celebration that was! This Thanksgiving, don’t miss the celebration, dear friend.

During this Thanksgiving season, our giving of thanks begins with you. We are so grateful that YOU help to keep us at the front lines through your prayers and your giving. This Thanks-giving is fulfilled with thanks-living as we rejoice in the lost that have been found through your partnership. When you give, you are not just giving to Global Teen Challenge or to us. You are joining us in the rejoicing over the lost now found, destiny recovered, and promise restored.

Always remember to forget the troubles that come your way,

but never forget to remember the blessings that come each day.

His divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
I Peter 1:4

The Bible doesn't say, “give thanks to the Lord because we feel good.” Rather, it says, "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!" (1 Chronicles 16:34).
He is worthy of our praise.

(Ethiopia in November)

US President, Abraham Lincoln wrote, "I do invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States, those who are at sea, and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens.

The circumstances that invited America to Thanksgiving in 1863 may have been different. While we may not be in a time of CIVIL WAR, the need for a peaceful transition of power to the new Congress and Trump administration call for prayer. The circumstances in this divided nation, war on terror, Iran, Afghanistan and Iraq, Syria, Russia and our economy in a troubled world, call all of us to a fresh dose of prayer and THANKSGIVING.

PRISON MINISTRY
The prison so overcrowded that inmates must sleep in halls and stairwells and share each toilet with 150 other men. Prisoners confided, "It's safer here. Outside, if the police want to, they just shoot you, and then claim that you’re a drug pusher." In Quezon city jail in Manila, built to hold 300, population recently topped over 4,000 inmates. This is a strategic moment for the church to step into this crisis and a strategic opportunity for Teen Challenge to partner with them

I sensed a hunger for change than went far deeper than the danger on the streets. Crowded cells, broken hearts, shattered lives were only symptoms, in their hearts they wanted to be free. It it was amazing to minister at the largest prison on Palawan Island as God moved powerfully across the cells blocks. In one block, as I ministered, 78 of 78 prisoners came forward to confess faith in Jesus. God remove the bars from their heart!

PRAYER PARTNER FOCUS

prayer

PARTNER

PRAYER

FOCUS

Again I say
unto you,
That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done
for them of
my Father which is in heaven.

1) STOP AND THANK GOD:
for at least 10 blessings today.
Things we take for granted here in the US. Things like clean water, a safe place to sleep and electricity are only a distant dream for many in Africa, Asia, Latin America and around the world.
We are so blessed. Thank God for my wife, family, the tremendous honor to be a part of the Global Teen Challenge Ministry and HIS faithful love for me.

2) PRAY for mercy-for the safety of our great nation and our soldiers who serve in harsh conditions in Iraq, Afghanistan and around the world, as we enjoy their protection in this God Blessed land.

3) MANILA, PHILIPPINES -Urgent prayer

As this crisis in the Philippines evolves, there are reports of over 4,000 extra-judicial killings by the police and vigilante death squads, in a desire to rid the Philippine society of drug addicts and dealers. There seems to be no interest from the highest office in giving them a trial, much less rehabilitation.

Christian leaders have been contacted by the DILG (Dept of Interior and Local Government) which as of this date, has been inundated by 2 million addicts turning themselves in for the fear of being executed in this genocidal war on drugs! In the Philippines, strategic evangelical leaders have invited us to work together with them to help to develop an advisory committee. The situation is both massive and extremely urgent.

3) USA-Pray for the peaceful transition of power.

In a challenging time, following a particularly contentious political campaign in the USA, some demonstrators have refused to accept results of the election and small groups of demonstrators have taken to the street. May God touch officials, authorities and the protesters to move forward to see reconciliation in our nation. Media focuses on less than 5,000 protesters in a nation of over 300 million as though the entire nation were in an uproar- pray for peace.

4) DAVAO-Pray for the December 6-7 TC Philippine Summit.

Solutions to the Drug Epidemic, December 6-7 at the A/G Compound, Mindano Training Center, Devau Philippines at with Jim Lowans, Global Teen Challenge Asia/Pacific Director as they continue to pray, seek God's face and craft a strategic plan to address this urgent need
(CLICK FOR DETAILS)

5) CHANG MAI, THAILAND

Please pray as preparations and logistics for critical training for Northern Asia and the Pacific Rim in partnership of two key regional Global TC Directors -- It is a critical time where the exploding epidemic of Meth Amphetamine, (Shabu & Ice) is blanketing the region -- we are asking God to help us to train an army of workers- pray for visas, finances, travel detail and a real release for those who would desire to attend.
(if you would like to be a part, e mail me at bgillott@globaltc.org)

Pray for the Global Harvest!

Pray with us for the global advance of the gospel. Pray for workers for the Harvest ...Teen Challenge Centers in 115 countries need staff and we currently have invitations to start Teen Challenge in over 32 nations. They are crying out for help. They need the power of God to meet a pressing social need... but we know it has a SPIRITUAL ROOT.
We offer SPIRITUAL RESOURCES to meet PRACTICAL needs.
MATTHEW 9: 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
