Children's Happenings

April 2019

Read books and you will go places!

April is Family Reading Month!

Check out our many fun, educational programs and events all month long that reinforce the importance of reading with your child starting at birth. When you set aside time to read with your child, you help them succeed.

We invite families with children ages birth through 14 to discover the many ways of making reading a fun family activity. Families set a goal of reading together for 20 minutes each day.  Get your Family Reading Month Calendar in the Children's Department.  Everyday your family reaches the goal, put a check mark for the day on your calendar.  Five days of reading earn your family a chance for the prize drawing. Prize drawing will be held on April 30th.
