INTRODUCTION TO TAI CHI
Kris Feeney will introduce the ancient Chinese tradition of
Tai Chi - a meditation in motion.
It is a system of gentle physical exercise and stretching.
Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.
Because this is a low impact practice
it is available to people of all ages.
Please wear comfortable clothes to this interactive Farm Talk.
Everyone who attends will walk away with a new skill
and a 10% off coupon for the market.

Nantucket Fresh Catch
Fish Club
So often when winter rolls around, we forget about buying fresh fish.  In fact, The American Heart Association recommends eating fish (particularly fatty fish) at least two times (two servings) a week. To help you eat more fish, Joan and Jeff of NFC are offering a fish club to begin in February!  They plan to offer fish like mahi, monk, halibut, trout, sword, tuna, grouper, shrimp, mussels, clams, oysters, squid and fishcakes.

Here are the details:
  • 1 share = 1 lb each of two types of fish (they choose the freshest available)
  • weekly pick-ups on Wednesdays at the farm for four weeks: 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/2  and/or  3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30
  • Sign up for a month at a time
  • Cost is $150/month
How great will it be to know exactly what you are serving for dinner on the nights when you pick up your fish club share!

Centerville Pies
You asked for them...
We are now carrying savory pies from the
nationally known Centerville Pie Company!
Chicken Pot Pie
Shepherds Pie (with Sweet Potato Top)
Spinach Pie

In 2010, Centerville Pie Company Inc. expanded its production by partnering with Cape Abilities, a nearby non-profit organization that supports people with disabilities on Cape Cod, helping them with housing, transportation and employment. Centerville Pie Company now handles much of its pie-making operations from the Cape Abilities location and employs over 50 disabled adults.
The company also supports Cape Abilities by donating a portion of their annual proceeds to the non-profit.

You won't find these anywhere else on-island,
and we are thrilled to be able to offer them.

You know how sometimes there's a great picture on the website,
and you look at it and think "it will never look that good when I get it home and bake it."
That is NOT the case with Centerville Pies.
This pie was baked in Mj's kitchen last night and she reports that it has an incredibly flaky crust and is soooo full of tender, savory chicken and velvety gravy. Really rich and delicious!

We are taking applications and hiring summer staff.
...from a returning summer employee...“It was just the best summer.  I don’t know how else to describe it!” and “Mj is the best! I honestly don’t think I could find anyone better anywhere.”   Laurie McVeigh – Stocker supervisor and basement guru- From Ireland-returning for her third summer in 2016!
