Strawberry picking by the public will be this weekend only!
There is an extremely limited supply this year so if you want them,
come out on Saturday.
The field will open on Saturday at 11 AM, not before, and we will assess at the end of the day whether there are enough to pick on Sunday.
Our crew will not be picking at all so all the berries in the field are available for picking by you!
Have your visited the Ice Cream Truck yet?
Did you know that cones start at just $4.95?
The Ice Cream Sandwich with farm-made snickerdoodles is assembled on request.
We like the Salted Caramel as the filling, but you can choose anything!
This Carrot Cake Sundae is amazing and is made with toasted farm-made carrot cake, carrot syrup, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream for $7.50!
There are lots of other novelties too -
how about a nice Banana Split for $8.99?
Or a Strawberry Sundae for $7.50?

Wine Tasting!

Join us for a wine tasting

June 28th from 4 to 6:30!

Scott Weinstein, from our supplier MS Walker, will be leading the tasting that will feature several beautiful wines from their portfolio.

Come out to try Aval French Cider, Cooper Hill Pinot Gris, Wolffer Estate Summer in a Bottle Rosé, Long Meadow Ranch Rosé and

Paul Dolan Cabernet

Who's YOUR Farmer?
Growing vegetables this year is proving to be a bit challenging as the weather has not been terribly cooperative so far.
But we like to focus on the positive,
and one of those positive things is our field crew! They come from different countries each year and they are incredibly dedicated to getting the job done, even if it's rainy and foggy and cold!
So in order to learn a little more about some of our workers, I talked a little with Javier Zarate before the crew headed out
to plant cut flowers this morning.

What's Your favorite part of the job:
Harvesting, but I really like all aspects of the job.
What's your favorite vegetable that we grow on the farm?
Tomatoes! If they are greenhouse tomatoes, I like to slice them to eat on a sandwich. If they are field tomatoes, I make them into fresh sauce to go on pasta.  I love pasta and I make a lot of sauce.
What do you enjoy about Nantucket?
The people. It's great to work with people who are your friends.
They aren't just co-workers.
What do you do when you are not at work?
I like to ride my bike and take pictures of beautiful areas around the island. Photography is my passion.
I've learned that every sunset here is different and special.
I like to go to Ladies Beach and sit on the hill to
watch the sunset and take pictures.
