ACTION NEEDED

UPDATE:

We have assembled a strong team of DCBIA engineering and developer leaders representing both large and small projects all over the city to provide comments in person at the DC Water SAF Open House on Friday.

For those unavailable to testify in person, you are encouraged to submit written comments on the DC Water System Availability Fee by Friday, February 9 by 5pm by emailing linda.manley@dcwater.com. Use the subject line: Comments for SAF Regulations.

If you need any assistance with your written comments, please email Liz DeBarros at (202) 966-8665 or email edebarros@dcbia.org.

We will keep you posted on outcome after the DC Water Open House.

Dear DCBIA Members,

As you may know, DC Water has pushed back the implementation date for the System Availability Fee to June 2018 after DCBIA and AOBA strongly opposed this substantial new fee on development projects.

In response to our letter, DC Water will hold a public open house to hear more on this issue and consider substantial revisions.

I need your help to testify with me at this public open house on February 9.

Please let us know by tomorrow, Friday, February 2 at noon, if you can provide oral comments at this meeting.

We are looking for developers and engineers to comment in person at this meeting on the significant cost considerations, particularly those with affordable housing projects.

Please respond to this email with your interest.

Read the fee structure: HERE.

Thank you in advance.
