Dear Grace,                                                                 4/11/2019

You made our day!  As we sit here this morning working on our newsletter, I would like to share your story and the generous donation you made to Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County. You are an inspiration!

We can’t tell you how much we appreciate your support in our mission to help provide affordable housing in our community!

Grace, a 12 year old girl, recently visited our Port Angeles store with an envelope in hand. She approached the front counter and handed the envelope to the cashier. “I would like to donate my birthday money to Habitat because helping people is important to me. It makes me feel good knowing I helped someone else.”

Your generous donation of $60 will go a long way to helping our community by “building strength, stability, self-reliance, and shelter” because “everyone deserves a decent place to live”. Thank you! You have made a real difference. It means the world to us!

With gratitude,

Steampunk refers to a subgengre of science fiction that combines elements of the Victorian era and the American Wild West. Fantasy themes usually contain post-apocalyptic or historical settings and futuristic inventions that are powered by the use of steam. The Steampunk theme has gained popularity and has also become a popular style of fashion, jewelry, home decor and art. Making your own steampunk crafts is a great way to be creative, as the possibilities are endless.

If you are looking to create an entirely new look in your home and are inspired by the Steampunk movement, here's  a look at some examples for you to  take advantage of. The great part of Steampunk is that you can find most of what you need at your local Habitat Store!
