Get CPR/AED Certified!


According to the American Heart Association, effective CPR can double the chances of survival after sudden cardiac arrest! If your certification has lapsed or you want to solidify your emergency preparedness skillset, get CPR certified!

You'll get hands-on practice and receive an American Heart Association certification card by mail. This will be an advanced course and you will be certified for two years as a BLS Healthcare Provider. This is the certification offered to first responders, EMTs, Nurses, Lifeguards, etc.
There is a $40 fee for the class that covers the cost of a face mask, an AHA Student Reference Manual, and the processing fee for the certification card.


Help Out at the East End House's Annual Summer Block Party

Come help out at the East End House Summer Block Party! Volunteers are needed to help set up tables, setting up/cooking food and helping with clean up after the event is over.
The East End House Emergency Food Pantry serves residents throughout the Boston area, primarily from East Cambridge. By increasing access to good food, we promote the flourishing and achievement of children from low-income families.



Serve Breakfast at the East Boston Community Soup Kitchen

By providing nutritious and satisfying weekly meals, the East Boston Community Soup Kitchen strives to create a safe, clean, welcoming environment for all who face hunger and homelessness in East Boston. Each Tuesday from 8:30AM to 7:30PM, volunteers serve breakfast, lunch and dinner; clean and organize the kitchen area after each meal; and support an uplifting environment for guests.

There is a high need for help during the breakfast service help so volunteers will help out serving food, washing dishes, and preparing the meals.


Sort & Tag Clothes at Boomerangs for the AIDS Action Committee

Volunteers will be sorting and tagging clothes for the various Boomerangs stores. It's a super fun group activity all for the good of Greater Boston.

Boomerangs is owned and operated by AIDS Action Committee of MA, Inc., New England's leading provider of HIV prevention and wellness services. All proceeds from Boomerangs support AIDS Action's work to prevent new infections, support those affected, and tackle the root causes of HIV/AIDS.


Build Interview Skills With Adult Job Seekers at Community Work Services

Do you enjoy the interviewing process? Would you like to help provide practice and feedback to adults in the CWS job skills training program? Community Work Services is looking for volunteers to conduct mock interviews to help unemployed and low-income adults to gain the confidence they need to apply for employment.
