Question Of The Week

November 17, 2018

Dear Valued Customer,

Wow!  I was really surprised at how many of my webinar "regulars" didn't sign up for Email 201.  I hope it was just bad timing!  Remember, you can still go back and view the webinar by going to our webinar page.  (See the button below.)  The last webinar on email is coming soon and you can get all the info and sign up by reading below.

It's Thanksgiving week and we'll have special hours.  Monday-Wednesday, we'll be open from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. - Remote Support only.  (We do ask that you log in only for Quarterly Updates or Emergencies.)  There will be no in-home or on-site service calls.  Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, we'll be closed.  However, our blog will still be updated and you should definitely check it out.  (See the button below.)  Additionally, we'll have Black Friday and Cyber Monday specials posted on our Specials website.

REMINDER:  Microsoft and/or Apple will NEVER call you out of the blue, they will NEVER cause a window to appear on your device warning you that it's infected and that you should not turn it off or you'll lose everything.  These are SCAMS.

Joyce, Kari and I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Question of the Week

Question: "I noticed a program on my computer called "Bonjour."  It appears to be from Apple.  What is it and do I need it?"

Bonjour is, indeed, a program from Apple.  The scholoraly description of what the software does is pretty technical and over the heads of most of us. However, what you do need to know is that the program is used to aid in the setting up of network items such as printers, scanners, etc.  Additionally, Bonjour makes possible the sharing of music, such as iTunes, between devices on the same Network.

Bonjour generally installs with iTunes if it isn't already on the computer.  As long as it is not causing any problems, it is not necessary to remove it even if you're not actually using it.
