Bike the Bricks (CANCELLED!)
Due to the threat of severe weather, Bike the Bricks and accompanying activities scheduled for Friday, May 27 in Historic Downtown McKinney have been cancelled. The City of McKinney holds the safety of our athletes, spectators and volunteers as its primary concern. Check the McKinney Main Street website for more information.
Live entertainment will relocate to the Courtroom Theater at McKinney Performing Arts Center, 111 N. Tennessee St. The public is invited to attend free concerts by Crystal Yates at 8 p.m. followed by Taylor Phelan at 9 p.m. Seats are limited and based on a first come, first served basis.

Classics on the Square Car Show (Saturday)
The Morning Maniacs will host Classics on the Square Car Show from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Check out some amazing cars and trucks, enjoy some breakfast and maybe a little shopping too. Downtown McKinney.

Ceremonies for Memorial Day

Honoring the Fallen (Saturday)
The McKinney Armed Services Memorial Board is hosting the 2016 Memorial Day Ceremony at the 
Veterans Memorial Park. During the ceremony, local Gold Star families will be honored as attendees pay tribute to six new names being added to the Wall of Honor on the Collin County Veterans Memorial. The park is located at 6053 Weiskopf Avenue in Craig Ranch. 10 a.m.-10:30 a.m. 

Pecan Grove Memorial Day Ceremony (Monday)
This ceremony honors the men and women who shaped our country in both big ways and small by keeping their final resting place beautiful and peaceful. Veterans are invited to wear their uniforms. All guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. Local musicians, military personnel and first responders in addition to local, county and state elected officials all take part. At Pecan Grove Historic Cemetery at the corner of Industrial and Highway 5/McDonald. 10-11 a.m. with pre-ceremony music by the McKinney Community Band starting at 9:30 a.m.
Pete Weise is a professional guitarist and educator based in Dallas. Pete will perform at The Sanctuary Event Center in Adriatica with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the McKinney Boyd Engineering Booster Organization to support engineering projects like the Living Roof Project. Doors open at 7 p.m., the show starts at 8 p.m. VIP tables with seating for four are $158.49. Reserved seats on the floor are $27.24. 
North Texas Butterfly House & Garden (Opens Saturday)
Walk among free-flying native butterflies and other pollinators in our Native Texas Butterfly House & Garden at the Heard Museum, 1 Nature Place. The butterfly house includes native species, which vary by season and which are available from suppliers. This exhibit is open during normal museum hours and is included in general admission. 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
