HANDMADE NANTUCKET WREATHS

Our Balsam Fir double-sided wreaths are sourced from Maine and shipped fresh to Nantucket where they are hand-decorated with authentic Nantucket Bay Scallop Shells, natural Nantucket scrub pine cones, festive red cranberries & a red velvet bow.

 
 
 
 
Thanksgiving Fixin's, Fresh and Local
 
 
 
 
Farming is so seasonal, but the kitchen makes sure that the flavors of the summer and fall are available throughout the year.
Any culled or spare tomatoes from the field and greenhouses are bagged and frozen to make marinara and sauces. One annual tradition that we are especially proud of is growing, harvesting and cooking our Long Island Cheese Pumpkins. These pumpkins are round, flat, heavily ribbed, and somewhat resemble a wheel of cheese. The seeds are edible, and the squash itself is tender, creamy and earthy. The perfect pie pumpkin.
In late September, when the Field Crew harvests, they bring in bin after bin of Long Island Cheese specifically for the kitchen.
Each pumpkin is cut in half, seeds removed, and roasted, cut side down until tender and lightly caramelized.
The flesh is then scooped out, strained and pureed. Each batch is then measured, poured into fish tubs and frozen. This process takes about three weeks.
The Bakery then turns this golden mash into pies, of course, but also Pumpkin Bread, Whoopie Pies, Cheesecake squares and more.
While most winter squash is a good substitute for pumpkin pies, the Long Island Cheese is our favorite.

Remember, we are closed on Thanksgiving Day, so write your list and check it twice! Not sure how to cook the bird, or what size you may need? Just ask! We’re happy to help you find the answers.
Thanksgiving weekend is one of our favorites. It’s often the first trip home for Nantucket kids, many summer residents return, and though it’s busy, we still have time to stop and say hello. We look forward to seeing you!

Bartlett’s Farm is happy to
offer STOKES natural firestarters!  STOKES were created in Vermont by Adam when he was a young eleven year old making gifts for friends and family.  He started using egg cartons, old candle wax and lint from the dryer, soon after his friends and family received them as gifts they offered to start purchasing them. 
STOKES are produced on a much larger scale these days but stick to the same basic components.
Need firewood too? Don’t worry we have that covered! We have plenty of firewood bundles stocked up to get you through these chilly days! Grab some in front of the market or ask a cashier to add a bundle onto your order and snag one

Need a larger table for the holidays? The Annual Lightship Basket Yard sale will take place on Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24. A great place to find trinkets and treasures, from furniture to jeans.  We will be opening at 7:30 on Saturday the 23rd so the folks who line up early can get coffee and muffins. 
 
 
 
 
 
An annual tradition for many has been to enjoy our year end sale when we close for a few weeks over Christmas. This year, we’re starting some of the sales early, so take a ride out to the Farm every few days to see what we’ve got! Currently, a Mix and Match, Buy One Get One Free will tempt you with sweet and savory, and maybe a few ingredients to stock up on for the holidays!
 
 
 
 
 
Devon and Mj will be taking their show on the road for the Festival of Trees on December 5th. The Bartlett’s Farm table always seems to be a favorite, and this year will be no exception. Not yet sure what the menu will be, but it will most certainly include local and Farm Grown in the title!
