Greetings Highlands Supporter,

Here is our Fall Newsletter with updates on some of our initiatives and details about upcoming events. In particular I would like to draw your attention to our Annual Meeting on October 16th at which we will be honoring Mayor Michael Soriano of Parsippany - Troy Hills among other champions for the New Jersey Highlands.

Also, I would like to highlight two upcoming forums on the Science of HABs (Harmful Algal Blooms) in Mountain Lakes (Oct. 8th) and West Milford (Oct 9th). Though opportunities to recreate in our lakes are behind us this year, we cannot back off our effort to understand what caused the HABs and discuss strategies to prevent such events reoccurring.

We hope to see many of you at  some of these events,

Warmly,

Julia Somers
