Introducing our Reimagined Family Affair Committee
Now is a great time to get involved.

The Listening Campaign was an incredible project that helped us learn about our temple community. One of the themes that was shared by many congregants was a need to support each other in times of joy and times of stress. I would like to make that hope a reality by reimagining Family Affair. Family Affair was a committee organized by Judy Benn, of blessed memory. She was a force of nature who never ceased to care about her family, her friends and her community. She always inspired me to be the best version of myself. In order to support our temple community, I need to understand the diverse needs of our congregants. If you would like to help figure out what our new Family Affair will look like, please let me know . If you have any thoughts, but would not like to help with the committee, please email me at lgoldstein83@verizon.net

Join us for KabbShabb as we introduce an emerging partnership.

June 28th, 6:30 PM

The Listening Campaign gave us great insight into your priorities and desires and needs.  It was an invaluable campaign.

One of the items that emerged was the need for local Social Action connections, and not just national or international.  People stressed local.  To that end, Rabbi Stanway and David Nussbaum have been creating the groundwork for a real partnership with Mercy Center of Asbury Park.  You need to hear about this remarkable place...and here is your chance.  June 28th, 6:30 PM

Join us as we begin our voyage together.  Everyone is most welcome.

Chhange Starry Night Celebration

Rabbi Stanway was honored to have been invited to the Chhange 40th Anniversary Celebratory Dinner in early June.  Missy Peck is very involved in this remarkable organization and asked Rabbi Stanway to speak for a moment.  It was a great honor to be present as we heard from Charlie Wachtel, the Academy Award winner for the best screenplay of KKKlansman.  It was a wonderful evening.
