Newsletter News

As you saw in your e-mail if you get the temple monthly newsletter, the bulletin was very short and sparse containing only limited information.  This is due to the fact that the temple assistant administrator does the bulletin and this has not been feasible since our administrative assistant is now the administrator.  In the very near future, the temple hopes to be hiring a new assistant and we will get back to the normal bulletin that so many of our congregants and friends depend on.
A moment at the Ark during the 'Approaching the Ark' time on Yom Kippur Afternoon
The Days of Awe were, well, awesome.  They were filled with unbelievable moments of emotion, meaning, sharing, intense spirituality, critical thinking, inspiring music, confession, forgiveness and atonement both public and private.  Rabbi Stanway and Cantor Camhi thank everyone who participated from the bottom of our hearts: the entire congregation which embraced the new machzor - some a bit hesitantly at first and then with full enthusiasm - the Religious Practices Committee, the readers, the speakers, the professional and lay musicians, the office and maintenance staff, the Sisterhood for the food drive, the Knotts family for the food drive truck and collection, the board of Trustees, all those who purchased the new Mishkan HaNefesh machzor, and all those in the background whose work and dedication behind the scenes never gets noticed.  It was an extraordinary Days of Awe season and we hope and pray that the feeling of closeness to God remains with all of us in the new year.  Shanna Tova 5778.
Simchat Torah Celebrations
October 11 5:30 PM

Everyone is welcome to join us for our Simchat Torah celebration on October 11 at 5:30 out on the Patio.  Adi Raz, one of our religious school teachers will be leading us in Israeli dancing.  We will unroll the Torah and finish it's reading during the unrolling.  Join us for a good time celebrating this joyous holiday!
Be Rabbi Stanway's Guest in the Sukkah for dinner on October 10 at 6:30 PM if you joined Beth Miriam in 2016 and 2017!  Families are most welcome.  Kids are welcome!  Every new member of the temple is welcome!  There is no charge for this dinner as we will get a chance to meet one another, share a great dinner and wave the lulav.  Call the temple at 732-222-3754 to sign up and let us know you are coming.  We are looking forward to seeing you there!
