Our Mission Fund at Work
As summer begins, we'd like to take a look at how our Mission Fund grants are about to be at work throughout the world.

Applications came in up to April 15, recipients were chosen by our Mission Fund Committee and approved by Council in May, and the funds are about to be distributed.

This year our Mission Fund will help provide food and health resources to Iraqi and Syrian refugee families; bring homeless New Yorkers back into the workforce, a home, and the fullness of life through proven life-skills programs; educate young men and women in Tanzania, and more.

Read more about all of this year's Mission Fund recipients.
Thanks for Keeping Things Fresh
Our windows and pews are looking beautiful this week. Thank you to everyone who participated in our Clean-Up Day on Saturday! Your work will help everyone enjoy our space of worship and fellowship to the fullest.
Summer Suppers: Pre-Event Photos & Registration
Our Summer Suppers pre-event on Sunday, May 28 gave all present a chance to share the unique background they bring to Advent. Wonderfully diverse individuals, coming from many parts of the world and all walks of life, have found their way to Advent, where God is weaving together our unique passions and stories in amazing ways.

This is the reality of our new intergenerational, bilingual program, Summer Suppers. It calls young and old, English-speakers and Spanish-speakers to the same table to know each other better through dinner, worship, and Bible study.

The event also officially launched registration for Summer Suppers. We invite you to register for Summer Suppers at this time! You can view the full schedule and register online on our website, or pick up a registration form on the back table in the sanctuary.

Summer Suppers will be on Wednesday evenings from July 12 through August 16, is open to all ages, and will be in both English and Spanish.

Annual Congregational Retreat this August
Everyone who attends our annual retreat at Koinonia leaves so glad that they went. Why? Because it gives them the opportunity to make friends and get closer to people in the congregation. Because a weekend in the beautiful landscape of Koinonia refreshes the city-worn soul. Because you experience God at work in the abundance of life in nature and in the community present.

Plus there's boats, goats, campfires, s'mores, hikes, early morning coffee, late-night board games, and all the other fun that comes with our weekend retreat at Koinonia's Retreat Center.

So consider joining us the weekend of August 4-6 this summer. We'd love to have you with us. Learn more about travel, costs, housing, programming, and registration on our website.
