Winter Night Hike

Explore the thrilling sights, smells, and sounds of night with Heard Trail Guides. Night hikers will learn how to sharpen their senses to be able to spot signs of nocturnal animal life and learn more about inhabitants of the Heard. Pre-registration required. $12, members;
$14, non-members.

Dinosaurs Live
Thru Feb. 18 | Included with general admission
Encounter the 46-foot T-Rex and nine other life-size animatronic dinosaurs along the nature trails. The exhibit gives families a fun, educational activity to enjoy together, and makes for great photos. Play area dinos are available as well as an outdoor fossil dig. Some trails are jogger-stroller friendly.

Second Saturday Bird WalkSaturday from 8-9 a.m. These bird walks are intended to help beginning and intermediate birders with bird spotting and identification techniques. There will also be plenty of opportunity for

questions. Prairie, woodland, and wetland habitats are included in these walks.

Golden Dragon Acrobats

Historic Downtown Walking Tour

This guided tour will include stories about the history of our downtown's early days and the people who have built the square into what it is today. Guests will also learn about the city's new digital map tools. This FREE tour begins at the Visitors Center, 200 West Virginia. Bottled water and snacks will be provided. Please wear comfortable walking shoes.

Newcomer's Guide to Gardening in North Texas

Are you a Texas transplant, new to gardening or want to learn how to be a successful gardener? This free event was designed with you in mind. Through a variety of short lectures, local experts will share their horticultural expertise, research-based information and hands-on experience about the challenges and rewards of gardening in North Texas.
