Io che amo solo te is the story of Ninella, fifty years old and with a great unfulfilled love story in her life and Don Mimì, which she has been unable to marry because of the total rejection of her by his rich and influential family. Their love ended when Ninella’s brother, Franco, ended up in jail for contraband and Don Mimi, the local power broker, no longer been able to marry Ninella, had to settle for Matilde, a dry and difficult woman but part of another powerful family in town. But fate will give them an unexpected gift, her daughter Chiara gets engaged with Damiano, the son of the man she has always dreamed of, and the two decide to get married. The wedding of Chiara and Damiano thus becomes the big event for Polignano a Mare, a white little town perched in one of the most magical corners of Puglia. Io che amo solo te is a film about the little secret joys, the art of knowing how to wait, and of last minute fears. Between irony and emotion, is an adventurous journey about love, which comes, or sometimes returns, when you least expect it, gets you back into the game but goes wherever it decides. Just like the Mistral wind of southern Italy that is a constant companion during the three days of this story, with the breathtaking background of one of the most beautiful corners of Puglia where ancient values and so much beauty still reign.
