Koerner Distributor, Effingham, Illinois

Koerner Distributor in Effingham, Illinois, recently opened a new distribution center, complete with hospitality room to host clients.  Stevens millwork engineering and production teams created a gorgeous display of our millwork capabilities.  Millwork items on the order included crown molding in the lobby, lobby display case and reception desk, wainscoting and baseboard in multiple areas, and the showpiece of the building- the hospitality room bar, back bar, wall panels and crown molding.

1200C Series Casework was installed in the hospitality prep room and as storage in office areas.

The project architect was GMA Architects and general contractor Arco National Construction Company

REVIT
Solutions for Building Design

Stevens strives to make our casework simple to incorporate into architectural plans.  Did you know we have REVIT families of our casework?  We created them specifically for architects and designers.  The groups showcase our available products, complete with detailed dimensions and model numbers.

Benefits of using Stevens Advantage REVIT families?
  • Ease of use - Drag & Drop, our model numbers fill in when you place cabinets in the space!
  • More detailed drawings - See specific details of the selected cabinets, not just a closed-door box.
  • More accurate quotes - Our estimators won't need to speculate interior make up of the cabinets, they'll be able to see exactly what the architect designed for the space!

We even have an add-on helper tool to special categories of cabinets, such as two-door base cabinets.

Check out our Quick Start guide to incorporate our casework into your next design!

Dynamic Surfaces
Care & Maintenance of HPL & TFL

Proper care of laminate casework, countertops and millwork will ensure years of quality performance.  The high-rated durability of thermofused and high-pressure laminate make them much easier to care for than real wood.  TFL and HPL are tough enough to withstand a wide range of household and institutional cleaners; no special cleaners are necessary.  Just a few simple steps will clean and disinfect surfaces, providing solid products that are a breeze to maintain!

AIA Presentations
Education for the Architecture Community

Stevens Advantage is pleased to offer a Continuing Education Unit training about composite cores, surface materials and casework hardware.  AIA members may receive a one hour credit for class participation.

Class objectives:
  • To gain insight into the wide array of information on attributes and features of composite cores, surfacing materials and hardware used to manufacture quality casework.
  • To know and understand how these materials support marketable designs plus accommodating the environmental requirements for their projects.
  • To obtain guidance on how to utilize this information to facilitate specification drafting skills, help hone trendsetting designs and help customers understand and appreciate designs to create their vision.
  • Information to be provided on a comparison basis of the Modular Casework Process to the Architectural Millwork approach.

Last month, our education team visited architects in Texas and Georgia, along with dealers and direct sales staff.  Our thanks to Chet Groce, Geoff McElrath, Mike Duley and Sean McWheter for arranging the classes.  For more information, contact Rick Clough.
