Help Foster Children With Your Everyday Grocery Shopping

If you use a Kroger Plus Card, link it to us so that we receive a donation every time you shop. If you already have your card linked to us, it may be time to re-enroll

Also, if you shop on amazon, please sign up for Amazon Smiles at smile.amazon.com and choose Foster Care Support Foundation as your charity to receive a donation every time you make a purchase. It costs you nothing but helps foster kids through FCSF every time you shop.
A Note From Our Founder
IT'S ALREADY HERE!!! The end of 2016 quickly passed by!  During this year, 3600 children received support at FCSF through your help by volunteering or donating funds and goods. I am proud to say that since incorporation, you have helped almost 50,000 foster and displaced children receive clothing, toys, school supplies, infant equipment and other basic care items. Many of these children are now playing with dolls, hot-wheels, smart devices, or eating ice cream with foster families and friends and sleeping in a warm comfortable bed. Before entering foster care, many may have been hiding crouched behind a sofa or in a closet in fear of physical or sexual abuse. Others may have felt the deep pull of hunger in the pit of their bellies from lack of food or drink or were cold, while living on the streets due to unfortunate circumstances surrounding their families.
As we cross into 2017, there is much more for us to do as the number of children in foster care has almost doubled to over 13,000 and grands raising grands or relative care increased tenfold.  We will continue to increase our reach to those in need that can't speak for themselves.
Although we all have much more work to do but we can't do it without you.
It's always a challenge to fund the program as our economy struggles. No matter what the circumstances, the children are always there needing our help. We thank our sponsors, those that helped with Drives for Undies, socks, legos, dolls, backpacks and school supplies, or made blankets or mittens during 2016. If you were one of the more than 6,500 volunteers that helped at the center or resale shop this past year filling orders or processing goods, we and the children thank you.
Please join us in supporting FCSF while there is still time, as you consider FCSF for your end of year giving to help us raise the funds needed to continue providing for the children.
Don't forget to 'like' us on FaceBook and share it asking your friends to do the same. This 'best kept secret' should be out to the world!
May God Bless!

Your County needs You!!
Be a Foster Parent.

Will you be the next mom and/or dad that opens up your heart and home to one or more children needing that special love and nurture, even if only for a little while?
Each DFCS County in Georgia needs foster parents. Some need as many as 200 homes (as in Fulton and DeKalb county) and others could use only a few. If you want to know more, please contact your county DFCS office and ask them when and where their next foster parent information meeting will be. The information meeting is usually held once or twice per month in most counties, or check our website to see if your county is listed on our www.fostercares.org website resource page.  No one can promise you an emotionally painless experience, but the love you share will follow them for the rest of their lives. Nothing worthwhile happens without effort.
And don't forget to email appt@fostercares.org as soon as you receive a foster child to get an appointment to come choose your foster child's free wardrobe, toys, school supplies and other items.

Be a Foster Care Support Sponsor

If you are a business, individual, civic organization or community partner and want to be a listed sponsor for our upcoming fundraising event, please email info@fostercares.org for more information.
Can't sponsor and event or provide a large donation?
Only $20 per month can help maintain the program. Help us however you can and we can expect to help at least 4,000 children in 2017.

MAIL-ORDERS FOR THOSE LIVING OUTSIDE GREATER METRO ATLANTA

If you live outside the Greater Metro Atlanta area,  please email for a mail-out order form at appt@fostercares.org, fill it out and email it back to us.  We will do our best with your information to pack it and mail to your area DFCS office for you to easily pick it up.  You may, though, prefer to make the trip to the Roswell center with an appointment for all the extras and goodies and to choose your items yourself.

NOTES FROM FOSTER AND RELATIVE CARE PARENTS

I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate my visit this morning.  A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders in being able to make sure my foster teens had clothing before going to school.  The clothing they came to us with from a group home had holes and bleach stains.  They will be attending a high school and I was so worried their clothing allowance along with funds that I could contribute wouldn't be enough.  The clothing you provided was such good quality and your volunteers were so helpful and kind.  Thank you for your service to foster families and those caring for family members.  I very much appreciate your efforts! Jan and Fred

Thank you so much for allowing us to come Saturday and get clothes and toys for our four new foster kids.  It is always a pleasure to come down even if it is a long drive. The kids had a blast with all their new toys and they looked so sweet in their new dressy clothes for church this morning.
I also appreciate the babysitters as it is so much easier to get the 'shopping' done without the kids hanging on to me.  And they had much more fun playing and making crafts.

Thanks again. Doreen

I would like to thank your organization for the wonderful items given to my granddaughter. She is really enjoying the toys and because of your help she was able to have a happy and fun birthday. She has not been able to put the doll down.  I so appreciate all that you do and wanted to take a minute to thank you.  Be blessed.   Pat

Welcome - Mattress Firm-Foster Kids as a FCSF sponsor. Together, we can do great things, because they believe as we do that everyone can't be a foster parent, but everyone can help a foster child. Shown here on the MFFK community volunteer day when they sorted, shopped, stocked, bagged and had a super great Pajama Party at the FCSF center - thanks to all!!  MFFK did a super great job processing over 1000 pajamas!!
Since then, MFFK has provided FCSF with monetary donations,  school supplies, clothing  and a toys to help restock the toy shelves for thousands more children coming in during the next months and year. If you are stopping in at one of their stores for a mattress, don't forget to tell them 'Thanks for helping kids through Foster Care Support'!

'BOWS AND PROS'

Thanks to Mattress Firm Foster Kids, The Atlanta Falcons and Toys for Tots for a fabulous Bows and Pros Christmas Party at the Falcons' Training center in Flowery Branch. Foster Care Support Foundation had the pleasure of referring children. Pictured on the left are grand fosters being raised by their grandparents after having a visit with Santa. The children and families created lifelong memories as over 100 children played games on the field with the Falcon team players, ate dinner and received presents and a brand new bike from Santa.

IT'S A "WE" THING!
OVER 6000 VOLUNTEERS THIS YEAR MADE IT HAPPEN!!!
Some things 'WE' did!

Thanks to over 6000 volunteers that helped process items and aided in the distribution to 3500 children during 2016, singly or in groups, either by filling clothing orders for kids living too far away, or playing with babies in the nursery while foster parents selected items, perhaps unloaded cars from donors or loaded clothing and toys into cars for foster parents. Everyone that helps change their lives. Below are a small sample of the angels among us and some of the things they worked on.
