MISSION FEDERAL ARTWALK 2016

Mission Federal
ArtWalk 2016
April 30 & May 1, 11:00AM to 6:00PM
San Diego - Downtown - Little Italy

The 32nd annual festival attracted enormous crowds all weekend long. Artists and performers were onhand showing their work and performing their art. Each year, Mission Federal ArtWalk brings more than 350 artists to the streets of Little Italy for an unforgettable celebration. To all who attended, exhibited or sponsored the festival, thank you for being part of a very special weekend.

An exciting new element this year was the amazing performance art  that combined visual art with music, dance and more.  If you missed it, check it out!

We also partnered with The Butterfly Effect to create a “philanthropic scavenger hunt” where 6 hand painted butterflies were hidden in Little Italy, and those who found them were able to select their favorite charity.  The Butterfly Effect then gave $250 to each of the charities.  You can see more details, photos of the winners and learn about the charities on our Facebook Page.

The festival would not be possible, as a free, high quality event, without our sponsors. Our most sincere thanks go out to them. Take a moment to visit out sponsor page.

Camp David in the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage, Sheryl & Harvey White Theatre and Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, May 13th - June 19th, 2016.

In the tumultuous 1970s, Middle East peace seemed as remote a prospect as it does today. Yet during 13 extraordinary days in 1978, two world leaders, Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, under the watchful and sometimes exasperated eyes of U.S. President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn, hammered out an agreement that inspired the entire world. Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright brings us a riveting and moving story filled with humor, insight, and surprises as three very different men, each devoutly committed to his people and also to his faith, find that peace is possible and that hope is always the better choice.
