The Plant Finder tool is a user-friendly, searchable database of *most* of the plants we grow or sell at the farm. You can find out if we carry a particular variety, save the items to your list, print it or email it to your gardener from your phone of computer, at any time.

Search by Plant name or by characteristics

(ie. I need a flowering shade plant with white flowers)

and print out detailed information and care instructions.

Save your list and bring it in when you shop!

It's still going to be a few weeks until our hot house tomatoes are ready, but there's plenty of big, beautiful basil to  plant now!  Grow it, turn it into pesto, freeze it, and you will be able to use it all summer!
2 Cups Basil Leaves
2 Cloves Garlic
1/4 C Pine Nuts
1/2 C freshly grated Parmesan
1/3 C Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Process everything except the olive oil in a food processor until finely ground.  Drizzle in olive oil with the motor running. Freeze in ice cube trays and wrap tightly until it's time to use.

Colorful annuals like these
Non-Stop Begonias are great in window boxes and containers. Begonias planted with Spider Plant and Painted Fern make a great combination!

Climbing Vines like this Clematis are great on a fence or walls.  Singles, doubles and a wide range of colors are all available in the garden center.
Colorful foliage is an eye-catcher in the garden,
whether it is an annual Coleus (left) or a perennial Heuchera (right)
If there is a signature flower for Nantucket, it is the Hydrangea. (Possibly tied with roses, but who's quibbling...)
We have lots of great Hydrangeas, and our knowledgeable staff can answer all your questions about them.  When to prune, how to make them bluer, and which ones make the best cut flowers?

Oh yes, we have lots and lots of Roses too!
Now is the time to start planting herbs and vegetables in the garden or in containers! Our Certified Organic  herbs and vegetables were grown right here at Bartlett's Farm and most of them have been out at night for at least a week.  The basil is tender and still in the garden center, but almost everything is hardened off and ready to go in the ground.  Sage, Chives, Mint, Parsley, Lemon Verbena, several types of Thyme, Lettuces, Kale, Chard, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower and more!
If you don't have time or room to grow your own, we have lots of freshly cut herbs from our organic greenhouses available in the market!
Parsley, Italian Parsley, Mint, Chives, Lemon Verbena,
Nobska Farm Hot Sauces are in the market!
Can you grow chili peppers by the sea on Cape Cod?
Yes! In the village of Woods Hole they grow over 50 varieties of chili peppers from mild to wild and turn them into
flavorful sauce, jelly and chocolate.
Chili enthusiasts and regional chefs rely on
Nobska Farms to satisfy their need for heat.
The hot sauce, which contains Ghost Peppers and other super-hots, has a full, complex flavor with considerable, but not confrontational heat. It is good on a variety of dishes from eggs to oysters to guacamole to BBQ to salads. Combine the hot sauce with sour cream to make dips or spreads for meats and vegetables.
By popular demand, Rooster's Retro Rocket™ Hot Sauce is a medium hot, green for sauce discerning palate. Nuances of the breadth of chili pepper flavors, aromas of onion and garlic, and the tang of tomatillos are present. Use on nachos, tacos, eggs, omelets, more. Mix in sour cream to make a wonderful dipping sauce.
