Mazal Tov, Judy Berg
On Friday, June 7th, during Shabbat Service, Judy Berg will be honored by the Union for Reform Judaism as she retires from the National Board of the URJ after 28 years of service.
During her tenure she was a Vice-Chair, led the Commission on Outreach and Membership, chaired the Trustees Committee, and traveled to Temple Boards as a facilitator to name just a few of her leadership positions. Presently she is on the Board of the Commission for Social Action which is affiliated with the Religious Action Center in Washington, DC. In this capacity she advocates for issues of social justice which you all know is her passion. Peter Weidhorn, a past chair of the URJ will make the presentation. It will take place at Temple Beth Miriam in Elberon during Friday evening services at 7:30 PM. There will be a celebratory Oneg following the service and a PreNeg at 6:30.
