Steel Products, Inc. is one of the new kids on the block at Stevens Industries, but are veterans in the industry. SPI has been selling and installing casework since 1967, when then President and owner Jack Henry determined to transition his company from selling steel shelving and lockers through GSA to acquiring distribution lines in construction Divisions 10 and 11 and entering the school equipment industry for sales and installation.
In 1999, Jack’s daughter, Denise Henry Johns and her husband, Ed Johns, purchased the company after Jack’s retirement and have further built upon his legacy, growing the company threefold. Steel Products territory spans Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. In 2004, Steel Products became a certified MBE firm in Maryland.
The team includes:
Denise Johns, CEO
Ed Johns, President
Maureen Murphy Vice President, Sales
Brett Six, Casework project manager
Ed Johns, Jr. Project Manager
James Murphy, Estimating
"Steel Products is honored to be part of the Stevens family. We appreciate the great cooperation through some trying times when LSI went out of business. And for us, the frosting on the cake are the accolades we hear from our installers who praise the superior quality of the Stevens product over any other casework they have previously installed," said Denise Johns.
Todd Wegman, President of Stevens, commented, "We have been delighted to get to know Steel Products since they joined the Stevens dealer network. Their experience and knowledge in the Casework and Millwork markets are two of the many reasons customers place their trust in Steel Products. We are excited to start a long and successful path with Steel Products."
