Historic Downtown McKinney features non-stop family activities, entertainment, food galore, a chance to finish your Christmas shopping and much more. Admission is free. Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday, Noon-5 p.m.

Heard-Craig House (Friday-Sunday)
Come to the Historic Heard Craig House to meet Father Christmas. Tickets are $10 and include decorating and enjoying Christmas Cookies and creating Christmas Arts and Crafts.  Hot chocolate and cider will be sold. Online reservations accepted. Check website for hours.
Celebrate a vintage Christmas by stepping back in time at the historic Post Office building at 300 E. Virginia. Open same hours as Home for the Holidays.

McKinney Repertory Theater brings the traditional telling of Dickens' tale back to the MPAC stage. Ebenezer Scrooge encounters a series of ghostly visitors, journeying with them through Christmases past, present, and future. $11 adults, $8 student & seniors, $6 kids. Believe 5K, 10K & 1 Mile Fun Run (Saturday)
The 11th annual Believe! race will again bring hundreds of runners and walkers to the historic district. All proceeds go towards scholarships for children in need to Holy Family School in McKinney. Dogs and strollers welcome for the 5k at this healthy, competitive, and fun holiday weekend event in beautiful historic downtown McKinney. 10K starts at 8:05 a.m., Santa Chase (free for kids) at 8:15 a.m., 5K at 8:25 and 1 Mile walk-run at 8:35 a.m. Registration still open.

With saturated colors and layered brushstrokes, Gina Benson’s paintings narrow the focus and expand the picture plane.Friday, 5-9 p.m.; Saturday, 3-9 p.m.; and Sunday, 2-6 p.m. Snacks provided.
