What does this Lent mean for you?
Lent is around the corner, and maybe that means some of you are beginning to contemplate how you practice Lent this year. I certainly am.

For me, last year's Lent was special. I had the opportunity to participate in Advent's "Carbon Fast" with over 90 Advent members.  It was a joy to go on that journey with many of you, and hear your stories of caring for God's awesome creation through your everyday choices.

This Lent, our journey through the season takes a different path but ultimately traveling with the same destination in mind.  Lent is the season to ask the question, how do we live faithfully?

Maybe this Lent looks different for you than it did last year too . . . and yet the beauty of church seasons like this is that we are called back to the same practices, in new ways. We are called back to God, and called to follow Jesus.

So, what will this Lent look like for you?  Will you explore what it means for you to be a disciple of Jesus in one of our discipleship groups? Will you participate in our upcoming Visioning Process listening groups? Will you explore racism and the Church at our Sunday Adult Faith Formations at 10:10am Sundays?   Or maybe keep up with our daily devotion?

I invite you to prayerfully consider how you would like to participate, as you explore the opportunities below. Lent is only 2 weeks away! It starts March 6 with Ash Wednesday. Whatever this Lent means and brings for you, I pray that you feel the presence of God, the guidance of Christ, and the movement of the Holy Spirit.

- Kevin, Communications Coordinator

Sign up for a Discipleship Group this Lent
Discipleship groups are an opportunity for you to explore what it means for you to be a disciple of Jesus with a small group of old or new Advent friends. They will meet for 4 weekly meetings during Lent, offered at a variety of times.

Adult Faith Formation Series in Lent
10:10am Sundays in the Community Hall (back half)

Our Sunday Adult Faith Formation series during Lent explores racism and the Church, leading to an introduction of our partnership with the Emmaus Collective. Together we will watch and discuss documentaries, go on an experiential walk though Advent, and learn about what being part of the Emmaus Collective will mean for Advent.

Take a copy home with you, or download it from our e-letter, and take a moment each day to learn and reflect as we prepare for Holy Week.

Our daily devotion will be available at Advent and for download here soon.
Visioning Process Blog: New Post
Welcome to our Visioning Process blog! With our Visioning Process blog, we hope to document our journey in the Visioning Process together, including a variety of writers from the Vision Team and congregation.

Last week, Ross and Kevin shared a recap of the Vision Retreat, our Vision Team meetings over the past month, and a preview of what's to come in the "Listening" phase of our visioning process.

We are going to aim to post something (an update, reflection, photo. etc.) every week. So . . . a new post is up!
