Virtual Valentines Storytime!

Teen Takeout (grades 6-12)

Create your very own scrapbook, planner, diary, sketch book, or bullet journal using the supplies in this Teen Takeout craft kit! Register for your kit now. Pick up at the library starting 2/9.

Virtual Kids Bingo

Join us from home to play Virtual Wild Animal Bingo for kids! Stop by the library before the event to pick up your game card, gather some items around your house to mark off your BINGO squares (pennies, paper pieces, candy hearts!), then tune in on Saturday morning to win a free book!

Virtual Magic Workshop (ages 6-10)

Magician Jackie Reynolds will teach kids 7 amazing magic tricks in this virtual Zoom class. Participants must pick up their magic supplies for the program at the library's drive-thru beginning February 9 for those who are registered.

Che-Mystery (ages 7-10)

Learn about physical and chemical changes in this virtual Zoom class with Mad Science of the Capital District. Make your own Super Bounce Ball during the program! Participants must pick up their super ball supplies for the program at the library's drive-thru beginning February 9 for those who are registered.

Take & Make Craft

This week we're making a Valentine's Day craft! *Supplies are limited*. Pick up starting February 9th at the drive-thru or in the Children's Room.

Foster a love of reading and learning in your child through the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Kids earn free books along the way!

Pen to Pandemic Short Story Contest

In support of our home-grown talent, we invite submissions of unpublished, original short stories. This will be a work of fiction set in Rensselaer County during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Quilting for Project Linus

Pick up kit Saturday 2/6 | Return completed kit 3/7

Join us at home for quilting for Project Linus. We will be making a pattern Rail Fence Blocks that will be sewed together for a scrappy community quilt. You can machine or hand sew your blocks. Fabric and pattern will be provided. 

Our quilt will be donated to a child who needs comfort, is seriously ill or traumatized. 

Kits are available at our drive-thru window. One per household and you can pick up a kit for a friend. Please register before you pick up your kit. Return completed kit by March 7, 2021 to the Returns Cart in the entrance to East Greenbush Community Library.

Grab & Go Crafts for Adults

Fox in Sox kits will have patterns for 4 types of cute animals, felt, glue, pin backs and instructions. Registration will begin 2/6 and pick up will start 2/13.
