Week 1, Day 6

"Fasting" from: Water | Some strategies: shorter showers, don't leave the sink running, collect and reuse

Today, read this letter from Pastor Christian Chavarría, the pastor of our sister church in Calderitas, El Salvador. He shares about the broken water pump in Calderitas, and his perspective on precious resources like water. (Spoiler: It's very different than many people's in the U.S.)

Once again, we seek to accompany our sister church and others around the world as we continue in our own efforts to be more conscious of this resource.

Heads up again: Starting Monday, we will be "giving up" plastic. So I recommend using today or tomorrow to make sure you at least have two key items: a reusable bag and a reusable water bottle. And, think about a system so you don't forget them when you leave home or work (as I do way too often!).

Peace,

Kevin
