Spring into Fun at the Library!

Family Reading Month

is coming in April!


Stay tuned for many fun, educational programs and events all month long that reinforce the importance of reading with your child starting at birth.  When you set aside time to read with your child, you help them succeed. Families can read books together daily and earn raffle tickets to win great prizes as well.  

Parent Child Workshop
Mondays, March 4, 11, 18 and 25 · 10-11:15am
For children ages 1-3 
Freedom Hall


As part of our Family Place Library initiative, young children and their parents/caregivers are invited to attend this play-focused workshop series with child development experts on hand to answer questions about many important topics including early literacy, dental health, nutrition, language and developmental milestones.  Registration is for the full, four week session. Register here

Special Pajama Interim Story Times
Tuesday, March 5 and 12 · 7-7:30pm
For children ages birth - 5
Little Theater


Bring the family and join us for two special evening Pajama Story Times between our Winter and Spring sessions.  Each will be filled with good books, songs, rhythm and rhyme.  Kids can wear their pajamas if they like.  Come prepared to have fun!

Junior Friends Meeting

 Calling all Middle School students!  You're invited to be a part of our Junior Friends of the Library to help the library with special projects and events.  This community service program is a great way to hang out with friends while helping the library!  We will be filming our Public Service Announcement for Summer Reading 2019 tonight.  No registration required.

Play Workshops

 Passport Pals

Passport Pals is a cool and interactive way to learn about different countries and cultures. Activities include crafts, games and snacks from different featured countries! This month's program will focus on Egypt.  Register here

Scrumptious Snacks

Come join us and learn how to make your own healthy and delicious snacks.  They are quick and easy!  We'll share some recipes and ideas and then make a couple yummy snacks for you to try.   Register here

Preschool Explorers

Spring Story Time Session Begins

Starting the week of 3/25/19, our 6-week Spring Story Time session begins.  We offer various great classes at different days/times for all age groups - Infant (birth-2), Toddler (2-3.5), Preschool (3.5-6), Family (birth-5) and Pajama (birth-5).  Each class is free and filled with fun stories, songs and a puppet show.  Register here
