Slow Down. You’re Moving Too Fast!
Perhaps there’s no area of the road where common courtesy is more important than in parking lots. With the road construction on Route 82, we are seeing an increase in traffic through the church parking lot.  Please be cautious and aware when  walking—and please help spread the word with your friends and neighbors that our parking lot is busy and will soon be full of families when pre-school resumes in September!

Smile Drive
Our Brookside Center Collection for Dental Hygiene ends a week from today.  Let’s send our United Methodist Women volunteers to the center on Friday with a car full of toothpaste, toothbrushes and dental floss!  These are all items our brothers and sisters in greater Cleveland need for their health, but many cannot afford.  Want to help?  Bring donations to the first floor collection bin.

THANK YOU for your amazing response to our household goods drive for Rising Hope,  a new recovery housing program in Cleveland for 80 opioid addicts seeking to heal from their addiction. Rising Hope provides a safe, sober residence that supports sobriety, helps prevent relapse and overdose, and offers time to work on healing one’s life.  Your donations are being collected in the first floor coat room through August 17. The Hobzeks will deliver them to East Cleveland on Friday.

Our Welcoming Statement
Brecksville United Methodist Church is called to the ministry of reconciliation. We embrace diversity as a gift. We celebrate our human family’s diversity of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, age, faith history, economic status, marital status, physical and mental ability, and education. We affirm that all people are created in the image of God and as beloved children of God, all are worthy of God’s love and grace. We welcome the full inclusion of all people in the life and ministries of Brecksville United Methodist Church as we journey toward reconciliation through Christ.
